Meet the Manager: Peter Barfield

The Harvard Shop - Meet the Manager
So regal, like a mountain lion.

Not even the rain outside can dampen Peter's uncontainable zest!
The Harvard Shop - Meet the Manager
Ahmed desperately tries to relive his days of fleeting internet fame.

Meet Peter '15, a sociology concentrator in Leverett house and the Operations Manager of The Harvard Shop. His job entails managing the stores, and occasionally modeling bestsellers on the website (see the Harvard fleece crew). The best way to characterize Peter is not with an adjective or a noun, but rather the sound of his laugh. It's a hearty, riotous kind of chortle, that sometimes accompanies excited footsteps hurrying down the hall, or follows the private jokes bouncing around in his head. Approachable and funny, Peter is a kind, spirited leader.

Q: What is your favorite catch phrase?
A: "You can't do that!" - Made famous by myself, obviously

Q: If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?
A: Definitely Lindsay Lohan; she's so fetch!

Q: What do you like to put on sandwiches?
A: I keep it simple: honey ham, turkey, american cheese, mayo, and dijon mustard. Sometimes I go a little crazy and spice it up with some Lay's Wavy chips...mmmmm!

Q: Cats or dogs?
A: Cats for sure. They don't smell like dirty rats, they bathe themselves, and most importantly, cats are sometimes super entertaining without even knowing it. They just never stop chasing that laser pointer....

Q: What is the meaning of life?
A: I believe that it's to become passionate about something, to gain as much useful or useless knowledge as you can handle, and to have fun while you're doing it. #yolo

That's it for now! Never stop chasing that laser pointer, Peter. I wish you many cats in the future.
