Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite pictures of Max Whittington-Cooper, a member of the Class of 2017, and a few of his friends during our photoshoot on John Weeks Bridge, one of the most iconic spots at Harvard. Could there be a better location than that bridge to feature the timeless H Sweater? (If you find one, let me know!)
Much like the other campus ambassadors that I've been able to get to know and spend time with, Max is a ball of sunshine -- with an incredibly charismatic personality and a smile that makes you want to smile back, Max has a contagious personality that makes us all want to be his friend.
(Notice the outfit! Aren't you in love with those socks and tasseled shoes?)
What's your House: Quincy House
What are your activities on campus: President of Harvard Undergraduate Television, runner, & singer
What's one thing you wish you could do at Harvard?: Row with the rowing team for a day
What's one tradition you could start at Harvard?: A huge Homecoming concert/party!
What been you weirdest moment in the dhall?: One of my weirdest (and coolest) moments in the dhall was when a 28-year old woman randomly sat down next to me and my friend for dinner. At first, I thought she was trying to kick us out but it turned out that she was a sophomore who just so happened to be a world-renowned ballerina returning to finish up her degree...it was pretty sweet.
What's your favorite study place at Harvard?: Stone Hall basement
Favorite party place at Harvard?: Honestly, wherever my good friends are--we always make it work!
Why are you a campus ambassador?: I am a campus ambassador because I love meeting new people. So I'm extremely excited to meet tons of new people through our campaign events!
What's your spirit animal?: A black panther
How many tourist photos have you photobombed?: Probably over 100
Describe yourself in 3 words: Driven, Multifaceted, Positive
How you defy the Harvard stereotype?: When most people envision the "typical Harvard student", they picture someone who loves to sit back and play Bach and Mozart; but I am a HUGE hip-hop/rap fan. I've had every track on "What a Time to be Alive" on repeat since it dropped on Sunday. #AintNoShameInIt
Why you're wearing the H sweater?: I'm wearing the H sweater, along with the rest of the team, to help show the spectrum of different faces and personalities here on Harvard's campus.
What does inclusivity mean to you?: To me, inclusivity means opportunity, open-mindedness, and warm acceptance.
